Why can we pick our own price?
Because the organizations we build for vary enormously in what they can afford, and we'd rather grow this community than squeeze it. Some organizations genuinely can't pay — they get the Sponsored plan, free, no questions. Some find real value and choose to pay more — Sustainers cover the Sponsored organizations. Most pick Standard, and that's exactly right.
What's the catch on the Sponsored plan?
There isn't one. It's the same product with the same features. The only hard limits anywhere are on monthly email sends (they cost us real money), and they're set high enough that a typical small organization never notices.
How does the trial work?
Every organization gets 30 days of the full product — no credit card, no tier to pick up front. At the end, an admin chooses a plan. If your board only meets monthly, there's a one-click 30-day extension waiting.
What happens to our data if we stop paying?
Nothing bad, ever. Your data is yours: export works on every plan and in every lapsed state, and you can switch to the Sponsored plan at any time. We will never hold your member or donor records hostage.
Do you take a cut of our dues or donations?
No. Dues you collect online go through your own Stripe account, and Sodalo Giving deliberately doesn't process donations at all — it's a system of record, not a payment processor. Your money is your money.
State or national organization?
Bring every chapter along. The parent organization is a Sustainer at $49/mo; each chapter is $19/mo for the full product — its own roster, dues, events, and Giving. Pay annually and take 10% off the whole bill.
